Everyone already wants Dominate because it's the best discipline in the game - so why make it even more desirable?

Why are we trying to make an existing powerful strategy even better? Your argument is essentially "This card does something new, therefore it fulfils a compelling game need." No, no and thrice no. Compelling game needs aren't making Dominate even better, even more powerful, even more desirable and even more essential. Dominate is already excellent defensively - it bloats, it bounces with the best bounce card in the game. It doesn't need even more defensive tools that - depending on the vampire - also shut down a whole variety of other cards too.

Making Dominate even better is bad for the game. Making the game worse is not a compelling game need.
