file Web App to play VTES?

Hello Everybody,

I'm Michal Twarowski i've been a Polish player and a Software Developer for a while. I've been chatting with some of the LackeyCCG players that the server tends to go down from time to time and it's not very "modern".

I was wandering would there be an interest of moving to a new platform? I would see it more as something that runs in a browser where you log into it rather then a desktop app. If Person who maintains Amaranth Deck Builder would be interested we could make it fully integrated.

If there's an interest. Would there be other developers interested in working on this project? This is quite a lot of work for a single person. Also if there's no need i don't want to waist my time on writing something that won't be used by anyone.

Please reply in this topic what's your point of view in this.

Amaranth does have an accessible API. It's just not documented :)

Happy to assist / support with any integration.

At one staged I looked into developing a browser based Lackey replacement using threejs.org/ — but shelved the idea as Lackey did a good enough job and had the existing player base.

Honestly, I'd rather spend time/money on Lackey if we could could to an agreement with the owner of the software.

There is a much better client to play VTES online, OCTGN. I just don't have python skills to manage to update it from old language to new one.

I can offer my help in any new project or even sharing lackey and octgn plugin files.

We've tried to contact people who manage Lackey but they don't want us to work on their app.

It would be great if we could reuse some APIs from Amaranth.

Originally i would be interested on Card library API.
Possibly identity to use the same identity on both apps. That would give users a nice feel it's the same ecosystem.
Decks would be great if we can pull via api then people can just select their existing one.

If we decide to do this Ke would you like to participate?

Also for Amaranth Deck Builder i see you use Apache Cordova for cross platform. Can you share a bit more on tech stack that you use? Things like: Hosting, Programming languages, database that you use?

Lastly i was investigating other communities. Looks like Netrunner have a slick solution for their online platform and it's open sources: github.com/mtgred/netrunner . However for me as a .Net Developer there would be a learning curve to use their project written in ClojureScript
