file Augmented reality and VtES

Hello,

I'm working in not a big Belarusian IT company. One of our departments works with augmented reality. You may read about the possiblities in the network. Basically this is a virtual image (2D or 3D) or text or animation in real-world environment which is visible using electronic devices like smartphones. Normally folks use some cards or any other flat materials with particular image as a platform to evoke virtual picture. That's why I thought about VtES cards.
Would it be helpful to use AR in marketing purposes? Like the first CCG with AR technology (actually don't follow others).
Not sure how can we use this in VtES considering the price. I mean we definitely cannot make all cards virtual and it is more expensive to add animation. But we can choose some particualr cards and make them special by adding AR image to it (like foiled cards). Or create new cards specially for this AR feature. Or make special acessories like memorial Edge or picture on boxes. Probably something else. That's why I decided to discuss it here.

Would it be interesting for players (especially new ones)?
Probably you may suggest something really creative and reasonable.

Hello!

I'm happy to present a mix of Augmented reality and VtES
Demo includes a single jyhad card and shows the latest card design and text on camera aiming.
To try this you need to proceed the following steps:
1. Download the Bizzar app:
iOS - itunes.apple.com/by/app/bizzar/id1294251453?mt=8
Android - play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atomichronica.bizzar
2. Go through registration
3. Start the app and aim with the camera on image in attachments that you may find below. You may also try with the real card.

Did you like it?
Would it be useful to actualize other cards this way?
What other ideas can you propose?
Please, feel free to leave the comments here!

It's a cool idea with a lot of potential.

VTES needs its graphical update 1st though. That should be top priority.

:gang: :CEL: :FOR: :PRO: :cap6: Gangrel. Noddist. Camarilla. Once each turn, LivesByProxy may burn 1 blood to lose Protean :PRO: until the end of the turn and gain your choice of superior Auspex :AUS:, Obfuscate :OBF:, or Potence :POT: for the current action.

I don’t really see the point in this.
Would I need a device to run an AR app to see what’s on the card?
Why wouldn’t I just use regular cards?

Does a real use case exist for this product?

I'd be a bigger fan of useless but neat effects on existing cards. (Blacklight activated image of The Eldest Shaper behind Lambach, faintly glow in the dark graffiti on Dana ADV, creepy watermark on Eye of Hazimel, that sort of thing) but the cost-to-profit ratios are pretty abysmal to do that on promos........

You could use your smart phone. Hold the camera up to or over the card, it picks up something like a finely embedded QR code in the ink or lenticular printing or whatever, and then when you look at the card on your phone it shows you the card but with animated 2D portraits, or a 3D animated character model, or lets you click for background details on the character or something. It's neat but seems like a luxury. Making it profitable in the context of Vampire seems dubious.

Agreed.
As a collectible thing on the side it could be neat, but not as cards for legal play.
Foils work for play, but I don’t really care about foils.
