We don't need a master to tell that this or that thaumaturgical path is playable; It is all thaumaturgy - the rule on VTES magic is, all should be easily to understand and to work. Every blood magic was transformed into thaumaturgy or a trait specific to this or that vampire/card, and creating a path doesn't help to play.

Also, we have cards from that path, as Blood to Water.

Power-level of the cards can go up IMO. Compare to cards that can already be played by :trem: !trem! Tremere: Seeds of corruption, Mind Rape, Govern, Deflection, Theft of Vitae, ... Not saying they should all top Govern by default, but if you check Maleficia/Striga-cards like Strix or Barrenness, it is clear they do otherwise unobtainable stuff at a very low cost (for most of the other :mal: :str: cards it's debatable whether there was a compelling design need to make them). Having to play the master first is a major limiting factor, and IMO is easiest to counter by giving some of the Action cards an 'This acting vampire untaps at the end of this action if it is succesfull'-clause or by making the master Trifle but that would probably be too much like :mal: / :str: . Perhaps give it some immediate positive ability to make it slightly more attractive?
