How does this card address a compelling game need?: Lasombra crypt lack proper mid-range titled sabbat vampires in both G2 and G4. I went for group 5 vampire, but going group 3 is also fair.

Solid vampire, nothing to change. His special gives you more choice than Blackhorse Tanner, but is only usable during your turn, so it should be fine.

7 cap = 8 points.
7 disc = -7 points.
Bishop = -0.5 points.
Ability = -1.5 points.
Total: -1.

You could either raise him to an 8 cap for the extra point or reduce him by 1 discipline point. I will do more extensive check later.

Just thinking about it, you could make the ability cost a blood that would give you +0.5 points and if you restrict to a card type you could get another +0.5 points.

As comparison here is Blackhorse Tanner

7 cap = 8 points
6 disc = -6 points
B. Hand = 0 points
Ability = -2 points
Total: 0.

Blackhorse tanner ability is way above this powerlevel. While this one feel good, it's nowhere Tanner multiple usage each turn. While he have and bishop title, additional capacity would make him less good, unless it also come with Archbishop of Cairo title ...

On the other hand, according to source material, he have 4 Presence (like 4 OBT, POT and DOM) which means ... and is generation 8, which directly translate to 7 capacity. Which means that

When it comes to basic version from post 1. I think that disciplines that goes above 3 are treated in different way, just like aforementioned Jessica:

8 point limit
8 points in disciplines
0.5 point in title ...

I came to the conclusion that disciplines above third comes at 0.75 price per level, and bishop/primogen title isn't really worth full 0.5 either due to lack of proper cards to support and making it harder to go anarch in case of revolt or other such things.
