Have read about Rapid Thought, don't like it because of many additional rules and bannings (not all bannings are good with me;) ).

But thought a little about easy solution.

You play 3 player game with usual decks and rules, but the winner is those who got first VP.

It looks like it favors fast pressure decks (dem weenie), but table dynamics works much better here as well as the third player is more motivated to keep his predator alive.

Got no opportunity to try it (unexpectedly we got 16 players at yesterday's game B) ) but it feels manageable as a temporary solution for the lack of players.

What do you think?

Easy, simple, like it.

Suggested addendum, everyone can block directed actions in a 3 player game.

Might be a good idea to try it.
We've had even some quick RT tournaments.

I've played five player where the game ended with the first oust.

I happened to have an Eagle Sight deck built when we did it ...

It seems viable to just play to first oust with any number of players, but my sample size is too small to know.

I'd worry a bit about Life Boon, though could just ban Life Boon.

Another possibility is to play five player that ends after the second oust.

On a different note, I don't have a problem with 2 hour games nor timeouts. And, what I find to greatly slow down play is players, not cards. When it is cards, it's bloat, wall decks, and other strategies that sacrifice offense for other stuff. Just focus on Loss/Monkey Wrench, just focus on Loss/Monkey Wrench!
