TempleCon! - Feb 3-5, 2012 in Warwick, RI

TempleCon 2012 is happening February 3rd through 5th at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Warwick, RI. TempleCon is a great Steampunk-themed gaming convention and has been the premier host for the Northeast Regional VTES qualifier. TempleCon can be found online at templecon.org.

There will be a special VTES badge that you can pre-register for. (It's not up on the site yet - TempleCon Upper Management has told me it should be up this week.) It gives a special discounted rate for folks who only attend VTES events at TempleCon. If this includes you, please pre-register for the VTES badge, as this affects the amount of space that TempleCon will allocate to VTES. The VTES all-weekend badge is usually the same price of the one-day Saturday badge. So if you are planning on attending only for the qualifier, I ask that you sign up for the VTES badge rather than the Saturday badge.

If you are planning on staying overnight, I do recommend that you reserve your hotel room at the Crowne Plaza Hotel early, as I would expect that the hotel will be entirely filled for the convention. Standard double and king rooms are only $109 per night. There is regular complimentary shuttle service from the Providence airport to the hotel.

Vampire: The Eternal Struggle is a trading card game in which two or more players take on the roles of ancient vampires known as Methuselahs. Methuselahs are considered mere legend by younger vampires. Younger vampires think that they pursue their own ends... even as they are being used by one Methuselah to undercut the influence of another. Throughout the world, Methuselahs manipulate their minions to frustrate the designs of the other Methuselahs, just as they have for as long as they can remember. These eternal struggles, sometimes covert and subtle, sometimes open and spectacular, are collectively known as the Jyhad.

Open session with demos for new players and casual games for veterans.
Free demo decks for new players. Any veteran who runs a demo for a new
player gets a free booster pack.
