Can this be true? was created by fivebucks
I brought into play stanislawa.

I played "Dual Form" with her.

I wanted to play "Gangrel Justicar" with the Dual Form.

They said: This wont work; since Gangrel are an independent clan in these nights new Gangrel can not have Camarilla titles.

What do you say?

Relevant card text will be helpful to answer this :

Dual Form
+1 stealth action.
[pro] Untap this vampire. During this minion phase, you may untap this vampire again.
[PRO] This acting vampire's capacity is reduced by 1. Put this card in play, tapped. It becomes a non-unique vampire with the same clan, capacity and Disciplines as the acting vampire. You may move up to 2 blood from the acting vampire to this vampire. If either minion leaves the ready region, the other is burned.

Dual Form copies the clan, but not the sect of the acting vampire.
Therefore it has the default sect of his clan, that is : Independent, for Gangrel.

You can out of the frying pan "vanilla slava" or just make Camille justicar.

They should errata the text of the card to include sect. It's a copy of the vampire. Why would it feel differently about which sect it follows? I always just assumed the card text just left out sect accidentally.

Didn't appear to be an accident. LSJ - the lead designer - confirmed how it worked during the previews of the set.

[LSJ 20050116]

Correct. Clan, capacity, and Disciplines. It doesn't copy
the sect (instead taking the default for that clan) and
won't copy even pseudo Disciplines like Ian's out-of-clan
special-ability Disciplines.

Note also that the capacity of the acting vampire is
reduced and then the new vampire copies it, so the new
vampire gets the reduced capacity.

The set was released in February 2005, and this was still January.

Correct answers from jamesatzephyr.

However, the fact that this card (amongst others) doesn't read 'sect' in on review here.
