Anarch + Independent Title?

Please help this crusty old Methuselah remember, if you are anarch can you gain an independent title?

I.e. if you become an anarch with either base or advanced Kemintiri and then become merged, what happens?

Independent: Kemintiri gets +1 bleed and +1 stealth when bleeding a Methuselah who controls a Ventrue. Any Ventrue controlled by another Methuselah can enter combat with Kemintiri as a  action. Kemintiri can enter combat with any Ventrue controlled by another Methuselah as a +1 stealth  action.

So:

a) Yes, you can be anarch and have an independent title. However, the only title that is an independent title is Liaison. More on that in a second.

b) If you pay attention over here: www.vekn.net/2-uncategorised/385-vampire-elder-kindred-network-newsletter-november-2017 , you'll see that Anarch and Independent will probably become separate sects, rather than Anarch being an extra overlay on the Independent sect. So that won't be possible then.

c) The titles that are on independent vampires like "2 votes (titled)" are not tied to the independent sect, or the vampire's clan, in the way that Priscus is tied to Sabbat or Toreador Justicar is tied to Toreador and Camarilla. The title is just tied to that vampire being that vampire. If one of those vampires becomes Camarilla, it still has that title. If one of those vampires becomes a Laibon Toreador, it still has that title. You would lose the title if that vampire gained another title (as normal), but it doesn't depend on sect or clan. Her 3 vote title kicks in, and nothing is stopping her having it or using it.

Is she still anarch after she merges? She might want to do thinks that require that she's an anarch.

Yes. She's still Independent when she merges so effects that remove Anarch-ness would not kick in.
