These timing window explanations are great. It would be awesome if we had multiple real card examples for each case, especially the (when/if/whenever) case, which is the most nebulous of the lot from a consistency standpoint.

I really appreciate that hard work the you and the design team have put into making the card templating more clear and consistent.

Real card examples:

When:

In Memory of the Two Lands
Unique.
Put this card in play with 1 counter for each Follower of Set and mummy you control. Once each action, you can burn 1 counter from this card to give a mummy you control +1 bleed or +1 strength. Burn this card when it has no counters.

Since you burn counters each time you use it, we can expect the card to run out of counters.
As soon as it happens, the card is burned.

If:

Glass Walker Pact
Unique.
Put this card in play. During your unlock phase, you can burn the top card of your library to move 1 blood from a ready locked vampire to a ready Giovanni. If the card you burned is a master card, burn this card as well. Burn this card if another Methuselah controls a werewolf.

As soon as another Methuselah controls a werewolf (which can happen or not), the card is burned.

Whenever:

Guruhi Kholo
"...Whenever this vampire is not a ready Laibon Guruhi or there is a ready older non-titled Laibon Guruhi, move this card to (one of) the oldest ready non-titled Laibon Guruhi (if any)."

The Kholo can move several times during a game, "whenever" is supposed to emphasis this.

subtilty

The word you are looking for is probably "subtlety"

I am liking the change, since it mirrors how replacement effects are handled in Magic the gathering; and its wise to steal as many good ideas from your competitors as possible..

You may want to specify in advance what happens in a situation when two separate replacement effects are looking to replace the same thing, Logic dictates that a thing can be replaced only once, so whatever replaces first, happens, and the other effect fizzles (does not happen). Just theorycrafting here. I assume this situation will happen sooner or later in the future if it already hasn't.

If there is only a single card that uses a different wording, you may want to look into giving that card an errata. Anarch convert is one of those I guess. It could just as well read "If Anarch convert is about to move to ready region, you may..."

This text change would clear confusion about whether convert would enter contest with another convert vampire already in play. I know it doesn't, but this is not really obvious from the wording on the card. You just have to know the ruling, and we really need to get rid of this kind of ambiguous wordings imo. If Anarch convert used to convert a vampire never enters play, there is no confusion.

I am really annoyed by certain cards inventing unique timing steps for themselves for no particularly good reason, creating rules confusion and forcing specific rulings because of their unique wording.

Name: Hackerspace
[AU:C]
Cardtype: Master
Location.
Put this card in play with X counters, where X is the number of anarchs you control. When an anarch comes into play under your control, or when a vampire you control becomes anarch, add 1 counter to this card. When equipping an anarch, you can use the counters on this card to pay some or all of the blood or pool cost of the equipment.

With regard to the timing templates, will Hackerspace continue to give you a counter for an Anarch Convert that uses his replacement text?

The original ruling seems to have been lost, but VtES One mentions it. If so, what is the updated text on Hackerspace? Is the current "When an Anarch comes into play under your control" enough?
