map-pin Sutekh 0.8.1 released!

01 Mar 2012 20:40 #24474 by hodgestar

The trouble is that:
- it crashed everytime I launch it
- if I uninstall it (the C:\Program Files (x86)\Sutekh-0.8.0\ folder is deleted) and reinstall it, I don't have the installation choices available anymore (I have to go and delete manually AppData\Roaming\Sutekh\ which is non trivial for a standard user).

Why does it say Sutekh-0.8.0? I would have thought it would say Sutekh-0.8.1 for Sutekh 0.8.1? Sutekh 0.8.0 does not work with the latest VEKN card texts. Sutekh 0.8.1 should.

After you've installed Sutekh you can re-download data by going to the File menu. We intentionally don't automatically delete the AppData since that might cause people to lose their card database.

This must be the cause.

On page: sourceforge.net/projects/sutekh/files/sutekh/

the link states: "Looking for the latest version? Download sutekh-0.8.0.exe (18.6 MB)"

I guess that's why I downloaded the wrong version.

I was sure I'd updated that link when we uploaded the new version, but clearly I didn't. My apologies. This should be fixed now.

Ok, I tried to install v. 0.8.1 this time and had some errors:
- it couldn't find "João Bile". I had to look for it in the left list and found "JoXXXo Bile" with XXX being strange characters (looking like unicode)
- it couldn't find '.44 Magnum [Osebo starter]' (I'm not sure about the starter). I found the .44 in the category "none" instead of equipment as expected.
- I had an error with Meno Ngari

In the end, I had the following error:

I want to build a deck and I'm a bit confused.
1/ How do I initiate a new deck list?
2/ What is the fastest way to add Valerius Maior to the deck list?
