I checked thelasombra.com come yesterday and noticed this message:

On October 26, 2013 I updated this site for the last time.
V:EKN holds the future of the game, be sure to support their efforts going forward.

I thought this might get mentioned on vekn.net today, but so far nothing that I see. The final update of the TWDA is significant for the VTES tournament scene, if that is in fact what the announcement means.

I'm sure Jeff can comment here if he likes. He's been incredibly active and supportive of the game for 15+ years, so I think he's entitled to retire if he wants.

But I think if thelasombra.com is being put into archive-mode, it should be at THE VERY TOP OF GINES' TO-DO LIST to get the TDWA hosted and maintained here. The TDWA is the only reason that several dozen players even play VTES anymore.

Sad news, but more than understandable. Thelasombra has been one of the top info centers for VtES ever, and still remains to be. I hope VEKN gets as much of the stuff implimented within their sites as possible!

Thanks for all the work, it's MUCH appreciated, thelasombra!

A sad day for VTES. TheLasombra was/is the mother of all VTES websites. Many thanks to Jeff for the nearly two decades of his support for VTES!

I already last week noticed that the TWDA hadn't been updated since August. So the last update was his last effort to bring the TWDA up to date apparently.

Thanks to Ralf, most of the TWDA decks are in the Secret Library in a searchable database.
