What are you looking for in a social networking site?

What is it about Facebook or MySpace or Google+ that keeps you coming back?

TheLasombra.com is now on Google+, but I'm not certain what I should be doing there that isn't already being done on forums and blogs and what's new pages .

What are you looking for in a social networking site?

What is it about Facebook or MySpace or Google+ that keeps you coming back?

I'm on Facebook because everyone's already there, and I get other uses out of it besides connecting with gamer friends. Until and unless Google+ becomes the norm, I doubt I'll ever use it, since I only have so much time in the day that I wish to spend on the computer.

TheLasombra.com is now on Google+, but I'm not certain what I should be doing there that isn't already being done on (...)

Any reason why TheLasombra.com (I'm not totally sure what that means, btw) isn't on Facebook?

My online discussion, and Google+ account, will be 100% about V:TES. There won't be any discussions of music, or politics, or religion, or news, or families, or weather, or technology, or whatever.

I also have a Facebook account.
I see no value in it.

The informational pieces that I post to forums will go on Google+, because it can be searched. The Facebook stuff can't be searched, and has duplicate wasted pages. See also all of the Facebook pages with zero content that are identical to the other Facebook pages for V:TES.

The searching capabilities are useful, I agree. The other issues you have with FB you'll surely have with Google+, eventually if not immediately, unless the Google+ filters are ridiculously powerful.

That isn't to denigrate your choice in any way. If I wasn't already established on FB, I'd likely go to Google+ first, at this point.
