VTES Singapore 2026

The tournament was played at Gamersaurus Rex on September 19. Reported by Keith Lee, VEKN National Coordinator of Singapore:

2026 marks the first time in many years that Singapore has run VTES Nationals. Owing to recent efforts by our community to increase exposure and recruit new players, we are pleased to finally be running Nationals again, and will continue to do so for the coming years. Most notably, we had two players who had only started the game less than two months before the Nationals, and were bold enough to participate. Not only that, but both of them performed admirably well, making it to the final table with tried and tested archetype decks.

The final saw a slew of aggressive decks facing each other. Stephen's Malkavians stuck to their usual strategy of using early Governs to influence out several vampires, while protecting themselves with Secret Passage.

Meanwhile, Kenrick's Ravnos, concerned about being outrun by his Malkavian predator due to his lack of bounce, bled hard and fast, regardless of the consequences. A bleed for 6 was bounced around the table, landing on Louis and seemingly crippling him early in the game.

Meanwhile, Glenn's combat Lasombra found themselves busy trying to control both the Nephandus population behind him, as well as the table in general.

In the midst of the chaos, Louis managed to recover with a timely Villein + Giant's Blood combo, and his control of the votes on the table began to tell, punishing Stephen with his multi-acting Path of Power vampires.

Kenrick had almost bled Jasper's Nephandi deck out with his heavy bleeds, but ultimately could not outrun Stephen, getting bled out by the Malkavians just a turn before he was able to oust Jasper.

Despite this, Stephen was already so low on pool that even with the oust, he quickly fell to Louis. The rest of the table, by now in a heavily weakened state, fell one after the other to Louis. Talk about a dark horse win! Not only was Louis the last seed going into the final, but he suffered what seemed like a crippling blow from his cross-table ally in the early game, yet still managed to turn things around.

Final Result: Louis Emerson Tong 4 VP, Stephen Logan 1 VP.
