cancelling posts

I've been bouncing around checking out the site. It seems that the cancel button does not work. Once you start a message it gets posted. if you need to come back later or restart the post for some reason you cannot. (I was able to edit but not cancel)

Edit2: Canceling an edit also submits it rather than canceling
