Anarch status and Merge-titles

There are a few vampires, who get a specific title when merged, for example Tegyrius:

Tegyrius, Vizier


Group: 2

Advanced, Camarilla: While Tegyrius is ready, each Camarilla Assamite may burn 1 blood to gain 1 vote once each referendum. Blood cursed.
Assamite Justicar.

Say, Tegyrius Adv. became Anarch (and thereby Indipendent) and merges later in the game, will he then become Camarilla again (and Justicar)?

I assume, the answer is YES, but I want to be sure.

No. He remains independent, and has an inert title.

Tegyrius (Base) is Camarilla. Tegyrius (Merged) is Camarilla. Therefore, when Base (in play) is merged with Advanced, the rules choose to leave the sect alone.

The two versions have the same sect (Camarilla), so the merged copy doesn't
override the base copy. Meaning sect won't change when merged.

He does gain a title though, which remains inert until his sect is appropriate.

The Merge Text sets no Sect, just donates a title. So Tegyrius retains his sect.
