:Taps microphone: Is this thing still on?

Some of the cards have a gradient at the top to aid in card readability.

I personally don't like the gradient at the top of the card. It gives a blurry aspect that reminds me of the video effect used in soaps on the 80s to evoke a flashback ;) (especially on Wargoul or Leather Jacket)

Otherwise, I like the non-blurry ones, even though you lose a lot of artwork due to the layout (clearly seen on Funeral Wake)

I tried to do the best i could to clean up the 'blurry' images, but there's really only so much that can be done sometimes. I basically had to take photos of my cards to get that quality, as most of the stuff i found online wasn't nearly the resolution i needed.

I don't think these are quite as successful as the crypt cards. I think it might be the fact the text box is as large as it is. though, this really does go to showcase that not all cards work well with this format.

Food for thought:

for me, the entire feel of Funeral Wake changes with the smaller text box.

also, i was goofing around with text formatting and the VCM. I'm aware that there is some procedural weirdness going on. i still can't get the newest version i have to work properly.

What about variable text box (bigger for cards with more text). Or just size between big and small one ?

I really like your design, and i would totally play such cards.

I wasn't talking about the art, but the gradient at the top of the card that gives a 'blurry' aspect, contrary to the sharp aspect when there's no gradient.

"Zephyr" is barely readable on this version

I agree, you do need a much stronger outline on the card names because you don't have a guaranteed background which will let them 'stand out'.

I like the version without the 'top gradient'.

I don't think the smaller boxes will be easy to read on a card printout, they could get well below the probably 8pt print.

It needs an outline, but not necessarily thicker. Screen display and print display are very different.
