Hi everybody,
last Saturday we managed to gather 10 players for the first German tournament in 2013!

10 players, so it was about fame (a TWDA entry) and fortune (the EC-qualifier T-Shirt).

After two preliminary rounds, 2 gamewins and 2 time-outs were achieved, and the following 5 players set down for the finals:

1) Joscha (Tupdogs & Nephandi) -- 1 GW -- 5,5 VP
2) Rudolf (Anson Tap & Bleed) -- 1 GW -- 4,5 VP
3) Tobias (Arika & Ventrue Friends Bleed & Vote) -- 2 VP
4) Ralf L. (Khazar's Diary) -- 1,5 VP
5) Ali (Malk & !Malk Stealth Bleed) -- 1 VP

Rudolf was the first to get really low on pool (2 pool only) after maybe 35 minutes, but was able to recover. Ali's Malkavians steadily gnawed on Ralf's pool, whose Khazar's Diary never came to an end ... Joscha had a lack of Tupdogs in the first hour of the game, and his only Nephandus was stolen cross-table from Rudolf. Tobias had quite a decent game, and freaked right away with Arika, bleeding and voting.
Ali's position became better and better, because he bled successfully every turn AND kept care of the bleed-thursty Toreadors to his right side. After maybe 1 hour and 20 or 25 minutes, Ralf was ousted. Joscha threatened to rush Ali's minions with two ready Tupdogs, so Ali offered not to bleed the two subsequent rounds. The deal was sealed, and Joscha sent his Gargoyles against the Ventrue. Tobias withstood.
Rudolf's hand was jammed with master cards (what twist of fate when playing Anson), plus Ali had now lots of pool to feel comfortable (17 pool). Rudolf misplayed a Mind Numb on the only untapped minion of Tobias, so with 10 minutes left, Joscha had a final chance to grab the tournament win (because Ali honorably kept the deal not to bleed!): he had a Fame in his hand and a Codex of the Edenic Groundkeepers on one of his !Tremere. But, another twist of fate, the Tupdog's assault with Dive Bomb, Raking Talons and Immortal Grapple on Catherine du Bois was defeated by Skin of Steel in the first round, and by Majesty in the second round of combat.
The last move of the game: Arika Govern-bled Rudolf's Toreadors, she got deflected and misdirected, and ousted Joscha.
