Some interesting stats from Origins 2011:
- We had 71 players attend this year, a record!!!
- 49 of the 71 (69%) players got at least 1GW
- 24 got 1GW
- 11 got 2GW
- 8 got 3GW
- 4 got 4GW
- 1 got 6GW
- 1 got 7GW
- There were 132 games played, 101 (77%) of which had GWs
- Of the games that had no GW:
- 10 out of 31 were non-timeout ties, 21 (68%) were timeouts
- Of the 21 timeouts, 20 (95%) were at a 5-player table

That's remarkable. Isn't this a point against those Timeout-fears regarding Ashur Tablet/Liquidation/Villein? Or havn't most of the participants played those cards?

That's remarkable. Isn't this a point against those Timeout-fears regarding Ashur Tablet/Liquidation/Villein? Or havn't most of the participants played those cards?

Do you have the % of 4-player tables timing out, and of 5-player tables timing out?
I don't think this one really means anything. If there were 95% of 5-player tables, then it means 4-player tables timeout as often as 5-player tables.- Of the 21 timeouts, 20 (95%) were at a 5-player table

Were there any telling deck archetypes turning up?
I'd suspect that those tables with timeouts may have had a number of vote decks... is there any connection?
In our social games the games that take waaay too long and get nowhere are those with a vote deck without vote-lock and usually vote-jammed by prey or pred (e.g. non-vote deck with 4+ votes as a prey and a number of other votes scattered on the table)
