Design Team update: MIke and I wrapped up design of the Bloodlines set tonight. 41 cards (20 crypt, 21 library) covering Blood Brothers, Gargoyles, !Salubri, Harbingers, and Samedi. We'll send it to White Wolf for review, then we'll start playtesting.
Significant progress on the new set was made tonight. Library cards for !Salubri, Blood Brothers, and Harbingers just about set. Still a bunch of work to be done on library cards for Gargoyles and Samedi.
The VTES base sets (published after 2000) contained not only booster packs, but a number of pre-constructed starter decks (ranging from 3 to 6) as well. The starter decks always contain 89 cards (with 77 library and 12 crypt cards) as well as a rule booklet. The starter decks often contained reprinted cards or cards included in the booster packs. Only a small portion of the starters contained vampires which were only available from these starters.
