TWD Report - True Love's Face 2/18/11

Thanks to Rodd and Mark for the tournament and congratulations to Sarah again for making the finals in both her tournament appearances now. We had 22 players make it for the tournament. The final table of Dave Baker with Kiasyd/Nocturns > James Messer with Maris Streck vote > Sarah Ritziles with Dem/Stealth Bleed > Cory Porter with Samedi Zombie/Corpses > John Bell with Ishtarri. The finals were a very, very close match - one of the closest I've been a part of. At one critical point, it looked as though James had lined up 2 quick VPs and most likely the tournament, but Baker was able to play two Delaying tactics and a Dark Influences in one turn to shut him down. Later after Corey and Baker were ousted Sarah was one stealth card away from ousting me and winning the tournament, but came up short.

Deck Name : Ishtarri No Ayo
Author : John Bell
Description : Most of the decks I've seen with the Ishtarri revolve around Ayo and voting, I wanted to go a different angle with this deck. The original concept was to have multiple informants out so that I could have an idea of what everyone held in their hand. It was built as a combat/wall deck and spends a lot of time sitting around trying to build up. The No Secrets can often get burned, but isn't a disaster since there are more to be had.
