Got the local players nicely together to get full two tables! Thanks to everyone who participated! <3
Tournament went kind of strangely, as after first 2 rounds there were only 2 players with GWs! There was quite many political decks, so lots of talking etc.
We were using the alternative time limit in finals, with each oust giving +10 min time. It did not matter in the finals. Time ended when there was only Petro and Esa-Matti left, and Esa-Matti would have won anyway.
Also honorable mention to Petro, for making it to the finals as a top seed, with a Brujah AT toolbox deck!!
Finals Seating
Esa-Matti Smolander (Lasombra Starter) --> Petrus Makkonen (Epikasta TGB) --> Simo Tiippana (Lydia + Al-Muntathir Trujah Toolbox) --> Aapo Järvelin (Theo + Beast anarch Rush) --> Petro Hirvonen (Hektor Toolbox)

Such a nice tournament. Had surprisingly little problems playing three games, plus the final. Gotta give it to these people, they make living that much easier - a thing very important in gaming. It's a rough game, VtES, even at best times, so keeping it all nice and friendly is key.
At finals I deliberately decided to sit in front of the Lasombra, even though I knew it was a rough sell. I would've liked to probably sit in front of Hektor, but Petro being the first seed got to pick last. I was hoping Aapo would be knocking down Lasombra's voters so that I could do at least anything, but when he ended up in cross table from Esku that was of course a hard sell.
I opened up with a Life Boon, and decided that if nothing more, I can plan for a long game and win with saving the dying player in the last minutes lunge. Esku's opening with all-the-effin' vote boost locations shut most of my game down, and his game was absolutely devastatingly fast. It didn't help that Hektor packed no rushes, and Aapo was tied down on the other side of the table. The player with no predator and all that, but that's the way it goes.
I had a chance when I got to push a Parity Shift with Awe (would've wanted to take it from Esku tbh to discourage a third vampire, but pool totals didn't add up), rushed my math and miscalculated Awe by one blood, and basically lost the game right there and then when they voted it down.
And that's all folks. An absolutely brutal reminder to read-the-fkn-cards and take your sweet ass time in the moments where it really, really matters. I felt so dumb, and let this be a lesson.
Esku is a majestically strong player, and I knew how strong the Lasombra starter could be, so I can't really say the outcome was a surprise. Everyone did their best, and played how they should've. My best was lackluster at best that day, but that's how it goes: the players with the least mistakes made win. Esku did the fewest.
Lovely games all around! See u guys in Ropecon.
Krausedit\\ Oh, and wasn't Simo's trujah train basically a lock&bleed?
