Requires an anarch vampire. Piper's Gang has an optional maneuver once each combat. During your discard phase, you may transfer equipment cards between a ready anarch vampire you control and Piper's Gang. You may burn Piper's Gang to prevent all damage from one strike to an anarch vampire.

Art notes: 3 people on motorcycles in front of a bar. All of them are wearing leather jackets with the Anarch symbol on the back of their jackets. :anarch:

World of Darkness reference: Anarch vampires are known to keep ghouls specifically to fight for the anarch cause are called Pipers or Pied Piper. They usually keep a gang of mortals, in this case a motorcycle biker gang to fight for them.

How does this card address a compelling game need?: Currently Piper exists in the game. It requires an anarch to play. However Anarchs do not have a non-unique ally to play with it. Instead they require usually clan based allies or must use unique allies. This card is meant to be a non-unique card that plays well with the anarch theme. They can be used to hold extra equipment for other anarch vampire because their first ability allows them to transfer equipment during the discard phase and their second allows them to use a burn effect which is the same as the Leather Jacket burn effect. The optional maneuver is because they are on motorcycles.

Recent round of tests complete. The card itself is pretty nice, especially with the free optional maneuver. A leather jacket and a .44 magnum is quite nice with this Ally. That said the cost to play this Ally and the cost to play weapons makes paying the 3 pool cost for this ally rough. I would rather see this knocked down to 2 pool. The prevent damage clause didn't work the way I hoped... so instead I am going to change it to "Piper's Gang is a slave to the clan of the vampire that recruited them." Meaning even if that without an innate directed action Piper's Gang can effectively be used as a bodyguard for the vampire that recruited them.
