file Card idea: Dance of the Naga

Name: Dance of the Naga
Cardtype: Combat
Discipline: Serpentis/Presence
Cost: 1 blood
[ser]
 Strike: combat ends.
[SER]
As above, and put 1 corruption counter on the opposing minion.
[SER]
 As [SER]
above, and tap the opposing minion.

It can be interesting in corruption decks that tend to be card intensive for little effect by "merging" defensive combat cards with corruption effects. It works only at close range, and as always can be dodged.
It doesn't trigger the "steal" effect of corruption counters, so you'll be obliged to play a "real" corruption card.
1 blood is in line with all presence combat ends costs.
Thoughts?

First thought, Nakhthorheb would love this card.
Second thought, "Tap the opposing minion" isn't much of an advantage as they're most likely to be already tapped when you play this card.

As written, it works at close or long range. See wording on Morphean Blow or Loving Agony if you want it to only work at close. Although I don't see why you would so limit it, maybe limit the corruption counter to only go on at close (see wording on Catatonic Fear).

Overall, it seems balanced.

I know It will only have an effect in a few cases: opposing minion plays Majesty or Earth Meld, or didn't tap to block.

They are reminder texts. By default, strikes effects on the opposing minion work only at close range, unless they're marked as "ranged". See Unholy Penance, or rulebook

6.4.3 ... Resolve Strike ... Unless the strike is identified as ranged
or does "R" damage (or is a defensive strike such as dodge or combat
ends), it is only effective at close range.

There was a reversal from LSJ long ago. The corruption effect should indeed be marked as close ranged.
