As a new player working to build a community at his local gaming store, this is pretty exciting.

I am a bit apprehensive though. What is the likelihood of updated visuals with this revival? Will the icons and formatting and artwork and such be brought up to modern standards?

Yeah! That are very good news indeed. Great!

To be honest I had lost hope over that long period of uncertainty. And quite a lot players quit.

Now our new mission is to win back the old and to enthuse new players, so that one of the eldest and best card games can prosper again.

Now there is hope again. Spread the news!
