Mukhtar Bey and Trap!

Right, from the wording of the cards I think Mukhtar Bey can use trap.

His card text states that he himself cannot press to continue combat, however the trap card stats that it provides the press itself automatically.

Correct; Mukhtar can play Trap. And he will also be able to press to end combat in a combat in which he played Trap.

Question : what if you have an older caitiff (lulz) and play "Save Face" so he goes to another round ?
Is it forbidden to use the press since it's written "this vampire gets a mandatory press" ?
