Clarification on Walk of Caine and Gestalt

LSJ has previously ruled that for Gestalt the first vampire chosen must be the one playing the card (newsgroups.derkeiler.com/Archive/Rec/rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad/2008-05/msg00912.html). Is that ruling still valid and applicable to the Walk of Caine?

Yes. The "(including this vampire)" / "(including this acting vampire)" part is the reason why you must select at least this vampire.
