Transferring equipment already in play

it's a +1 stealth action and i know a minion doesn't have to re-pay to play the card, but do clan/sect/discipline restrictions still apply? i'm working on a document to aid new players, and i don't think it's something that's ever come up in a game i've played, but i want to be prepared to answer the question.

Once the equipment is in play, any restrictions to equip the card are fulfilled and do not need to be met again.

This means that your War Ghoul can take the Femur of Toomler from Dragos before being stolen by an Entracement at 4 stealth.

Notice that lots of equipment with clan requirements only gives its bonus to vampires of that clan, so transferring it isn't always worthwhile.

that's what i thought, which is why it so rarely comes up. but preparation is king. or something.

Remember, you can take as much equipment as you want during an 'equip from another minion' action as long as it is all named in the terms of the action. (e.g. Martin Frankel will take the Sports Bike, IR Goggles, Bowl of Convergence and Sniper Rifle from Carna)

and you can get equipment from your own minions in torpor.
