Ranged Combat

I am Little confused on something, when a weapon card says 3R on it, does it do 3 damage? or can I take 3 shots at three different ranges in one turn and only do 1 damage each time?

3R means: The strike does three damage, and will be effective at either long range or close range.

To do damage in several different strikes in the same round, you need additional strikes. For example, .44 Magnum (2R each strike) + Blur (1 or 2 additional strikes) means you can shoot for 2R, then shoot for another 2R on an additional strike. Foldable Machine Gun is a weapon that can strike twice in one round innately (1R + 1R), which is interesting if the opponent plays Dodge or some sorts of damage prevention.

Some strikes are only usable at long range. For example, Blood Sweat: "Strike: 2R damage; only usable at long range. Damage cannot be prevented." That strike does 2 damage, will work at long range and can't be played at close range.
