file song of serenity vs entombment

I have some questions...
1- is entombment considered a hand strike?
2- and if so, would song of serenity can be used to prevent damage from that hand strike?

1) No. Entombment is an AWESOME strike. It should be used liberally after Arms of the Abyss .

2) Entombment doesn't do damage, so wouldn't be affected by Song of Serenity even if it were a hand strike.

A strike is only a hand-strike when: it is a non-ranged, non-weapon strike that deals damage based on the striking minion's strength, or any minion's non-ranged damage-dealing innate strike. { LSJ 19970224 }

(Refer to the General Rulings link on the left for that definition.)

Entombment is not a ranged strike (neither is Coma ) so it has no effect on the potential victim if the range is set to Long. Both can be played at Long Range (if you really need to burn the blood on that stolen vampire, for example), but neither has an effect on the target victim.

Entombment can be dodged (as can Coma) like any other strike.

I have some questions...
1- is entombment considered a hand strike?

The General Rulings page gives the definition for what a hand strike is: "any non-ranged, non-weapon strike that deals damage based on the striking minion's strength, or any minion's non-ranged damage-dealing innate strike."

Name: Entombment
Cardtype: Combat
Cost: 2 blood
Discipline: Obtenebration
[obt] Strike: burn the opposing ally.
[OBT] Strike: send the opposing vampire into torpor.

Entombment is
- not ranged
- not a weapons strike
- doesn't inflict damage based on strength
- isn't innate-dealing-damage.

For these reasons, Entombment isn't a hand strike.

2- and if so, would song of serenity can be used to prevent damage from that hand strike?

Name: Song of Serenity
Cardtype: Combat
Discipline: Animalism
Only usable before range is chosen.
[ani] The opposing minion gets -1 strength this round. A vampire may play only one Song of Serenity each combat.
[ANI] As above, but for the remainder of combat.

Moot - Entombment isn't a hand strike.
