Cybelotron questions was created by Elgnat
Hi all.

Are wampires that enter play during a minionphase able to act the same turn?
In a Cybelotron, when Cybele burns and Etrius triggers, can the new Cybele
take actions? Can the new Cybele bleed even if the first one has already
done so?

What about The Great Beast, can it act the same turn it arrives?

Complete neewbie here, sorry if the answers are really obvious.

In general, yes.

A few can't, such as the vampire created by Third Tradition: Progeny, due to card text: "This vampire cannot take any actions this turn."

As well as the examples you give, this is also relevant for cards like:

- Possession (bring a vampire back into play from the ash heap)
- Undue Influence at [qui], which can bring a vampire into play during your minion phase

In a Cybelotron, when Cybele burns and Etrius triggers, can the new Cybele
take actions? Can the new Cybele bleed even if the first one has already
done so?

Yes, and yes.

Vampires are prevented from repeating certain actions by the rulebook, including bleed. However, that applies to that copy of the card. A new copy of the card from your crypt is just fine.

Also, for Possession mentioned above - a trip through your ash heap wipes the vampire "clean". So Turbo-Baron, for example, can have the Baron burned, triggering a Soul Gem bringing out another vampire (with NEC), who then Possesses the Baron back into play, and the 'clean' copy of the Baron can do whatever it wants.

What about The Great Beast, can it act the same turn it arrives?

Yes.

The only significant area of the game where V:TES has "summoning sickness" (to borrow the term used sometimes in Magic) is recruiting allies, which is handled in the rulebook. Note that the only applies to allies who are properly recruited - either using the default action, or a card that says to "recruit" an ally, such as The Summoning. An ally brought back into play with superior Compel the Spirit (or another non-recruit action) can act, because that isn't subject to the same rule as the recruit action.

Note For Clarity: the rulebook solution to recruiting is not purely elegant from a bookkeeping perspective, though it works.

The recruited ally is placed in the uncontrolled region, face up and controlled, to show that it cannot act that turn. If you call a vote that gives/removes pool based on controlled minions, that "controlled ally in the uncontrolled region" is counted just like every other controlled minion, regardless of where the card sits in your play space.

It's a little confusing to handle it this way, but it's USUALLY the best way to handle bookkeeping without resorting to a "Ready But Not Able To Act Right Now" region.

Was not sure where to post this, so I post it here to awoid necroposting and thread spamming:

Is it possible to play Truth of a Thousand Lies two times on a turn?
For axample, hunt action -> ToaTL to untap -> ToaTL to bleed?

Can you dual use it as both action and to untap?
ToaTL to bleed -> ToaTL to untap?

My intuition says no, but I have almost no knowledge of the game,
might just as well be wrong.

Nothing forbid you to use ToTL on any number of DIFFERENT actions in a given turn (you could play it only once at inferior because you can bleed only once but if somehow you have enough blood, you could do 10+ different actions and each time playing a ToTL at superior.

BUT : the rule book forbid to play the same action modifier twice in the same action (inferior or superior or both) so it is NOT possible to bleed, play ToTL inferior for +2 bleed and then ToTL superior for untap.
