Queen of the Valley was created by delangen
Had a quick question that came up in a game this WE.. superior King of the mountain:

King of the Mountain
Combat
Fortitude
Prevent all damage from the opposing minion's strike. If the strike was made with a melee weapon, that weapon is destroyed.
Play after range is determined and before strikes are chosen. If the opposing minion inflicts damage with a hand strike this round (even if the damage is prevented), he or she takes an equal amount of damage during strike resolution as well.

If the damage done by the opposing minion is aggravated is the 'equal amount of damage during strike resolution as well' aggravated as well?

thank you kindly

it's just the same number of damage, no special properties are carried over.

Correct. Card text doesn't say "agg" or "of the same type as inflicted" or
"unpreventable" or whatever, so the damage done is normal damage.

Hollow up question: how does King of the Mountain work
with additiona strikes?

The inferior works as you'd expect.

For the superior, if any of the additional strikes are hand strikes, it affects them too. They're still a "hand strike this round". However, you have to play it before your very first strikes are chosen, though. As I wrote up over here , "before strikes are chosen" means "before initial strikes are chosen".

No, since strikes have been chosen already that round."

At inferior it works only for that strike (see sup. Skin of Steel or Rolling with the Punches for multi-strike prevention text examples)

At superior, "this round" covers additional strikes.

Then again, I have a question of my own. Does "after range determined" mean "right after", or could you play it before additional strike? Say, you would not want to play if you opponent dodges, but if he "blurs", then would be the perfect time to play it.
