i don't think so. as its not played during the combat phase and therefore not a combat card.

Combo cards can be played as either type of card. So, if you play it at inferior it is a combat card, and I think Adana gets to play it for free. But at superior, you are playing it as an action modifier, it is not a combat card, and she wouldn't get the discount. Or that's how I understand combo cards...

Correct.
It works the same way as multi-discipline cards. If you play an anarch three-way for instance such as Reformation for a given discipline (eg. serpentis), it doesn't count as playing a Chimerstry or Dominate card.
