Deep Song and Powerbase: Savannah

Hello! Simple questions today (card text posted below):

"Question 1: If I have successfully taken the Deep Song rush action at [ANI], can I use the Powerbase: Savannah effect in the resulting combat?"

"Question 2: If my vampire has been successfully rushed by another vampire using Deep Song at [ANI], can I use the Powerbase: Savannah effect in the resulting combat?"

Master: unique location. Elysium.
You may lock any other unique location you control to end combat involving an acting vampire you control before range is chosen. Any vampire may steal this location for his or her controller as a action.

I like this for its counter-intuitiveness.
Answer to #1 should be "no", answer to #2 should be "yes".

I was thinking that, but it's also possible that the answer to both is "yes".

Although my vampire who has taken the Deep Song action is not "THE" acting vampire with respect to the combat, there is still a sense in which she is "AN" acting vampire, which might be sufficient to meet the requirements of Powerbase: Savannah.

See also FBI Affairs vs. Nar-Sheptha. The cards see that acting minion per the current state of things. So if the acting minion is designated to be other than the minion that initiated the action, the cards view it as such always.

Not sure it applies. The acting minion is not designated to be anything in particular by Deep Song; the card only makes reference to the target of the rush.

Card text on Deep Song, like card text on Nar-Sheptha sets an acting minion. Seems pretty clear to me.
