I'm curious to see this deck in action. 34 action cards seem like to many.

well, it is and it isn't , because both Flurry of action and Khabar : glory have an untap clause in it, so basically free actions.

It has a distinct lack of any defense for my taste, low blood management options, and relying on 2 alamuts to fuel 4 reckless is a strong stretch for me.

But hey, it appears to have worked, so who am i to judge

I fail to see how 2 A.I.s, 2 Major Boons and 6 Haqim`s Law: Leadership is a "distinct lack of any defense". Also, Villeining a fresh Recruit can help in a pinch.

Poolgain does nothing to defend you, e.g. it does not stop weenie bleed, stealth bleed, power bleed, votes, combat, minion stealing or whatever bad can happen to you. If you have an offensive engine like this deck has, it buys you just enough time to get another VP . If the forward engine stalls, this sort of "defence" will become meaningless as well.
