Rudolf G. (Thetmes Contract Rush)

^^^ Always interested to see any Assamite decks that enter final tables. Would love a decklist.

I assume it is a version of tap/contract/provisions deck?

Amazingly close to what i run.
I do not like Royce, i use Samson instead, and no monastery, and minion taps instead of villeins ( because the villein cost racks up). And Secure heaven.
I use lost in crowds instead of forgotten labyrinth ( do not like bloodcost).

Also, no Fame? Won me a a couple of games with fame yo-yo (put fame on vamp, rush it with clandestine contract, aggropoke, he goes down, burn 3 pool, untap with monster, have him rescued by your weenie paying with his blood, rush with clandestine contract (now on him), burn 3 pool more, play provisions = profit )

Also, i run Mylan, cheap bleeder or untap big T.

how did the Codex do for you? I never considered running it in this kind of deck.

So big cap-combat is the shit in Germany these days. A bit unexpected I must confess. Good to know! :)

The "original" by Erol runs four 2-cap Vampires with dom. I wanted to have the chance to get a minion out turn 1 even being the starting player (and to give the deck the appearance of being a weenie Dominate bleeder, so my prey is somehow in a hurry to influence out a vampire that can be attacked by Thetmes). The 3-cap is in for being "immune" to Scourge of the Enochians.

Yes, Secure Haven would be a good idea, or at least an Arson. I agree that one Forgotten Labyrinth should be a Lost in Crowds.

Fame, well, too obvious ...
 The main problem is the high amount of master cards in this combat deck.
This is also the reason for playing Villein instead of Minion Tap. 10 out of my 19 master cards are trifles, which is somehow important regarding card flow.

I like Mylan, but I cannot "protect" him, and I choose not to play allies nowadays if I have no possibility to steal them back.
Enkil Cog would be my choice instead.

The Codex looks nice in theory, but very much depends on the number of your prey's minions. It granted me the gamewin in the first round of the tournament, because it kept two Malkavians away from bleeding ...
:woohoo: After the tournament I would suggest a fourth Graverobbing instead.

The German ECQ at the end of May might tell a different tale, or not ... B-)
