If that was the case, when you play a trophy it would go to the ash heap. "Put this card into play" is not written on the trophies, it is part of the trophy rules.

Trophies being a trifle should take this deck into consideration:

I think marking a Red List minion should be redefined in the rule book as a Trifle master phase action.
