New Card Idea: Powerbase: Stockholm

Unique Location.
If you control the edge, you may tap this card to give a minion you control +1 bleed. Any vampire whose controller has the edge may steal this location for his or her controller as a action.

Game development:
- Give the game additional ways to produce forward pressure.

Flavor:
- None in particular.

Balance:
- In the modern environment post-Villein and Lilith's Blessing it can be argued that the game could really use a pair of generalistic cards that promote forward motion. This particular card aims to do so in a two-fold way: by requiring players to control the edge and by allowing for additional pressure once they control it.

- Pondered about making the effect a much more powerful "while you control the edge you may burn it to give a minion you control +1 bleed" but that might be too much.

Competitiveness:
- High. Very useful for agressive decks with actions to spare and for walls that like to bleed casually for low amounts.

Good idea.

Small possible problem : the additional action to get the powerbase is a bit "wasted", because you exchange a bleed for 1 for a +1 bleed. Also, wallish deck will take it and never surrender it. (but that may still be positive, since they will kill more easily).

Another stealing condition may be better like "a methuselah that oust its prey can steal this location" or "you can spend 4 transfert and the edge to take control of this card". It may also be fine this way.

Also, I would restrict it to vampires, not minion, to avoid problem with Nephandus or other horde ally deck.

Having the PB work with minions doesn't seem too problematic since you can just steal the powerbase from them and then only the vampires from that controller can try to recover it.

I don't fancy your alternatives to steal the Powerbase because they are non-interactive. I've always liked how these cards give on-table actions. If these are to be considered "wasted" or not is to be decided in play, I do like giving players hard choices to make.


Drain

Kind of a bummer that it'll probably come to you tapped if you steal it, so you'll have to hold it for a full turn before you can make use of it.

Powerbases are vampire only cards, so it would be strange if it would give some benefit for allies.

Reworded, as per your considerations. Only enables vampires now and has no tapping restriction so it can be used straight away after being stolen. Did make it so that stealing the PB also requires burning the edge so as not to make it too easy to use straight away.
