That doesn't have to be a killer. For example, Corruption was just one card - but we now have a small clutch of corruption-counter-based tech. Coven was only one card, but now we have myriad Trifle cards. (Coven didn't call it Trifle at the time.)

It's perfectly possible to grow an idea from a tiny nugget - if you think it'll positively add to the game, of course.
