Eddy Webb and Rich Thomas, the developers of CCP Transmedia (i.e. the roleplaying game division) are still there. Russell Bailey was let go from his full time position, but will continue as a freelance developer for Vampire: the Requiem.

I'm not saying the publishing arm was untouched by the lay offs, but your negative bias is pretty obvious.
