If you go the lotn route, remember the old g2 indies are nominally pretty cheap if you want a different grouping for those clans. Also, key cards arent too outrageous (for example, week of nightmares and sensory deprivation are the 2 most powerful cards in most Ravnos decks, WoN is less than $5, and sense dep is less than $10, whereas most rares that make bloodlines really good are way more, such as Nuetral gard at around $15, sirens lure at roughly the same price, and of course summon history for $30-$75)
But, sabbat wise, 3rd or singles are ok.
If you buy 3rd, you can buy old lasombra for cheap of old (the best) tzimitsce for a bit more. But, you will want key cards like arms of the abyss for lasombra, which are not in 3rd.
Then theres the laibon, which is legacies of blood starters and boosters, and ebony kingdom boosters. Or pick a clan and buy singles. I like the Akunanse personally.
But, limited availability of stuff is going to be an increasing issue.
Except for blaxk hand boosters. Probably wont run out of those.
Anyway, if yoi know which you want to aim for, and its classic indys, lotn. If not, maybe singles or possibpy the smattering presented in kmw decks and boosters.
