And... while you do nothing but hunt, whats stopping your prey from sweeping when he has no pressure?

lulls him into a false sense of security, maybe even jams his hand.

brainwash ought to irritate him

Mirdes,
when you play with thsi deck do you use the tournament like 2 hour timelimit or just play until someone wins/there is last man standing?

Didn't look much into the deck, but I THINK it shouldn't be able to do that well withing the "normal" 2 hour game.

time is an illusion.

we dont typically play under strict tournament conditions.

games are rare and we are at the teaching stage.

a 5 player game has rarely been had, never won.
this was more due to unfamiliarity with the game than a timeout.

Problem is, the sense of security is not false. What surprises do you have for your prey that can put him in deep trouble? I could sit on ~10 pool as your prey and feel fairly confident of surviving what you have. Also, unless your prey's deck is designed only to salmon, your grand prey is more likely to be able to jam said hand than you are.

Brainwash can be removed by other players if necessary. Yes, it would be irritating, but will not do anything in the long run for a deck like yours.

One more question: how do you plan to get your 2nd VP?

Just to reiterate, mirddes: this is the biggest problem that weenie decks - even perfectly optimized ones - have: they explode all over their first prey, destroying him, but then find that their grandprey has built up to be able to withstand the weenie onslaught thanks to the lack of early pressure from your prey. If, on the other hand, you play a weenie deck that manages to sweep the table, which is certainly possible, you'll find that your games are short and the other players are irritated. It's an instructive experience to live through once or twice, and you should probably give it a shot, but I think you'll get bored of it quickly.

And for the record: a well optimized disciplineless weenie deck is usually Computer Hacking + Leverage for offense, Target Vitals and/or Weighted Walking Stick for deterrent, and some combination of Tribute to the Master/Effective Management/Sudden Reversal for a master package. I've seen Brainwash used in there, too, but usually en masse.

Just to add, most super aggro decks have a fortified grand prey. You get to go wild if your prey ignores you to stay on defense.
