I think these things on your website as a "if you're new" verification via your prince is a great idea, I don't know how you make sure NEW people get them.

I think common courtesy is no vice.

And yet you mock a tournament reporter for using different letters to represent victory points when he is reporting in a language that he did not grow up with?

You are truly a baffling individual.

Wps= Wictory points? That's a Star Trek joke made even funnier because it came from a real live Russian! Hopefully he got it. In any case, consider yourself unbaffled.

Evidently there is very little interest in this type of package.
Six of the first eight auctions were sold to a card reseller.
Great luck for him.

An auction on ebay might not be the right medium for this if you aim at new players. $60 is a lot to spend on cards at once, and people only have 1 week to make up their mind. A card reseller has it much more easy because does not care about the price (that's an investment to him) and he has more experience in asserting the value of cards.

If you want to make sure your packs reach new players at a quite low price, it might be better to advertise them only here and filter who you sell to. In France, the coordinator used to build starter decks for beginners, and he would send them to princes upon request. MAybe work out something like that?

I agree that doing all of them at once on ebay was likely not the best choice, but really how much time can he be expected to devote to it? One a week for 10 weeks would likely do best, but that is a lot of time.

I don't think there was a right answer, however I greatly applaud the effort!

Well one of my more junior players ALMOST won the bloodlines auction. He was happy to have the chance to get it, looks like the card reseller won again.

Best

The card reseller ended up with 9 of the 12 auctions.

Five of them for within $1 of the listing price.

Be sure to take your business to him!

The point of the thread was not to advertise for the sales, though that did also happen. The point of the thread was to get people to think of new ways to stimulate increased variety in local play.

Here's hoping you will each find a way to get your local opponents to play with enough variety that they enjoy the game for years to come!
