419 + Guillaume Giovanni

How do you intend to oust?
Torporize minions and grab the pool with 419s with no risk of Prey regaining the pool from them.

How do you intend to keep from being ousted?
Rush worst threats. Intercept and do some bouncing.
Poolgain -what is that?

What do you want your ready region to look like (ie, how many guys are you planning on getting out)?
Homa, orne or two other Osebo and Guillaume.

What do you want your average turn to look like?
Play Storage Annex & store a 419 Operation for further use. Gain more handsize due to Guillaume.

Do Embrace with Osebo. Rush/bleed with Osebo(s). Keep the Embraces ready to do a lot of 419s when needed or swarmbleed if feeling reckless.

What's your metagame like? How do your opponents play?
Usually at least some combat is around, often noticeably more. Also politics is present and I'm voefully unprepared, but gain votes by threating with Potence...

What problems have you observed with the deck in play?
Only played 3 games (in a tournament) so far.


Was surprised to notice how well the reaction module worked.
Previously I've thought that Massassi's Honor is wallpaper card but it is rather nifty. It would be great if the 2nd action could be against another target (= "free" superrush). But nice for getting a critical equipment actually on table etc (with a free "rush" since the 1st action was blocked).


In post-tournament chat we had Otso and Matti suggested the following additions:
-Villein (sure thing for Guillaume)
-Filchware's Pawn Shop (trifle location that might occasionally come in handy too)
-Information Highway (not hugely important IMO since I tend to bring out Osebos first and later on Guillaume since I decided not to add to many moving parts, ie. Governs...)

Actually Antonio is a typo that creeped in, the Crypt is just Guillaume and the Osebos.

Flash is there to give more flexibility. Maneuver+press is pretty cool.


Tried to tweak the deck a bit for yesterday's weekly game.
Added Filchware Pawn Shop and Villein.
Was supposed to remove Storage Annex and a 419, but in the endgame noticed that instead of the latter I had removed one Sudario. Ooops.

Biggest problem seemed to be that the deck doesn't really have that much forward momentum so it is rather slow.

I really like the idea of this deck, but I'm skeptical. I played a Guillaume powerbleed deck based around Storage Annexing your bleed cards until the right moment, and I could never quite pull off a victory. That's probably due to bad play more than anything, mind you. Has your sudden burst of 419s worked? I'd love to hear more about how the deck has played so far.

The deck has pretty decent staying power but seems to be slowish and lacks the final ooomph to win tables.

Usually I've needed to concentrate disproportionately large amount of my combat towards my predator making it much harder to clear the table of prey's minions. The 419s have functioned so badly that I've been wondering if this deck actually would be better off without them and the Embraces.

Then again, I have just 4 games under the belt with it.


My other Guillaume deck actually works better, but I've wanted to make a Guillaume combat deck so I'll have to keep on tweaking the current one.


Here's the other Guillaume deck designed mainly to hamper Girls -decks but it does work against other types too. You know, just to give you (DeathInABottle) an idea what I used in my more bleedy Guillaume deck.

Heidelberg + another bleed equipment. Along with Codex you should be golden swapping it around for oust power.
