Using the Servius

Decided to try rebuilding Using the Advantage deck with Enkil Cog instead of Clan Impersonations and Madness Networks.

Feedback on improving the deck is welcome!




How do you intend to oust?
Constant bleeding and torporizing minions.

How do you intend to keep from being ousted?
Torporizing minions and Deflecting.

What do you want your ready region to look like (ie, how many guys are you planning on getting out)?
Servius Marius Pustulo + Black Annis + hopefully someone else.

What do you want your average turn to look like?
Just before my tun Enkil Cog bleed with Servius. Benefit from few copies of Using the Advantage as well as the edge. Rush with Annis, bleed with Servius.

What problems have you observed with the deck in play?
Built the deck this morning and played in a tourney so not that much experience with it yet (sucked in the first two rounds but swept in the third).

Biggest problem was build up time so will need to adjust the masters.
Also it would be great to get superior Animalism for Annis, but this involves even more masters.

Villein instead of Vessel?
You really can't afford to wait for that pool investment refund, and you can't afford to pay extra pool to start that refund process.

Seems strange that Fame is missing, when your #2 vampire is a rusher....

Perhaps some Cats' Guidance to ensure that Servius is untapped to take that out-of-turn bleed action?

I like the idea of the crypt you've chosen, Servius' hand size bonus has always been a favorite of mine.

Cool deck. Would switch 4 Sense's with Rat's Warning, you can use the press in combat with crows, and the option to not block could be handy.

In soft combat environment Villein certainly would be far better choice but in Helsinki violence tends to abound. I might experiment changing Vessels to Villeins by piecemail.

I though about adding Cat's Guidances, but decided against as it works only against bleed. In retrospect, it IS the bleeds I'm worried about since I want to keep the edge. Ho hum, I blame sleep deprivation during the time I put the deck together...

Where are the Obedience? Sense the savage way + Obedience allows you to actually block actions and will also help a lot with that Finnish thing

If we deduct ToV, Disarm and IG we get only 12 damaging combat cards on 90. They will eat you alive, don't they? Yes, Julio and Black Annis have +1 strength, but I doubt this will be enough for a hard hitting environment.
