My band Ahma has in its deep unconsciousness prepared and kneaded a full length release's worth of so called dark matter (lat. atrum res). Once again, the weight of history has not been forgotten and, true to ourselves, the very slowly and even more uncertainly executed ideas were fed through a safe and sound cowgirl filter by the use of dilapidated chaos magic and most inexact scientific methods.
The result can now be confirmed to be exactly what was sought after: dirty and distorted with larger than life choruses - not forgetting the exuberant postpubertal defiance of the fifteen years old cohort.
Thematically the release, "Crooked Issue", sails in the wake of paranoia, dualistic materialism and intense mustache growing.
Several outtakes from the release can be listened at our facebook site:
www.facebook.com/pages/Ahma/45528476841
The album is out tomorrow and can be purchased, for example, from our label: www.firebox.fi/store/
In case you want to order it to your favourite record store it is from teh Finnish label Firebox Records and the product code is FireCD070.
Several songs from our previous release, "Slothful & Vile", are available at our myspace site:
www.myspace.com/iwearnohelmet
In the reviews for Slothful & Vile we were compared to bands like Motörhead, Ministry, Nine Inch Nails, The Misfits, Dead Kennedys, Megadeth, Slipknot, Strapping Young Lad, Nine, Meshuggah, Paradise Lost, Prong, KMFDM, Killing Joke, Celtic Frost, Sabbat, Stone Sour, In Flames, Dog Eat Dog, Audrey Horne, Amorphis, Suburban Tribe, Enochian Crescent and Entombed.
One reviewer described us the following cool way:
"This is music that makes you want to drive a Camaro, drink Natty Light, crank your stereo and proudly throw the horns, preferably all at the same time. Highly recommended."

I had a listen to some of the tracks on your Myspace... pretty damn good stuff! I'm a big metal and industrial fan so this is right up my alley

Be advised that currently our facebook site offers more songs from the new album than the myspace site.

Ho ho ho, Merry Yuletide!
Ahma's christmas album* is listenable in in entirety at bandcamp. You apparently have to choose each song separately though...
ahma.bandcamp.com/album/crooked-issue
The older EP is also there.
Both feature fanged creatures on the cover.
*well, the cover is x-massy red AND actually Christmas Album was one of the titles we, once again, pondered, for the monstrosity when it was about to be released...
