That's all fine and nice. But comparing VTES to MtG is leading nowhere, as these games are quite different.

What was the most expensive card before KoT? Unmasking for 30 USD?
Enkil Cogs are ridicously hard to find, and then they are insanely expensive.
The card just has to be extremely powerful, otherwise people would part more willingly from them.

Enkil Cog fits in just about any deck that features vampires with capacity of 10 or more. I'd say it's a highly usable card that every player who plans on using fatties can use multiple copies of. And it's a rare! Set design for KoT failed in that respect.
