For easy reference, I'll cut+paste the info here.

Once again, the Ropecon VTES tournament will also be the official Finnish EC Qualifier tournament (ECQ) – the EC itself is in Stockholm. The top 25% scorers in the tournament will receive EC qualifications (and shirts!), and naturally enough there will be some prizes for the finalists (including a set of Sabbat War rares).

The tournament itself is a normal VTES constructed tournament, with 3 2-hour rounds followed by a 5-person final round. No deck lists needed beforehand. The tournament starts at 18:00, and registration closes at 17:30. Please be there on time so we can get the show on the road in a timely fashion :). You can also pre-register, see below.

Note: like last year, the tournament is at Täffä (TF) (the building next to Dipoli, where board games have been run during previous years). Even though it was a bit crowded, the high ceiling gave the place better air flow than the old Dipoli gaming space did. The final round will still be played at Dipoli, since TF closes for the night.

No separate entry fee, but Ropecon general entry fee is required.

You can pre-register by emailing me () with your name and VEKN number (if you have one and know it). People who have pre-registered do not need to register on site, it's enough for them to be there by 18:00. I will be adding names to the list of pre-registered players here as I get them, so you can easily make sure your email got through.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask (see email above).

Welcome, see you there!

Like last year I'll be running a VTES demo for neonates/newbies on Sunday.

vekn.net/event-calendar/event/7259

Learn to play VTES!
Don't forget to bring your friends with you. Neonates of play the demo get a free deck or at least some small sized demo decks if the actual decks run out.

Tournament well fantastically well (at least from my viewpoint). 72 players (same as last year), and lots of fun decks and play. We stayed well on schedule, with the finals finishing up at 2am, earlier than usual for this thing.

Win went to Toni Karjalainen and his brutally efficient Nakhthorheb bleed deck, with Aleksi Kivilahti breathing down his neck with his equally brutal Kiasyd bleeder. Grats, all.

Saw lots of bleed decks this year, quite a bit of politics, and surprisingly few walls. No single deck type seemed to dominate.

Proper tournament report will follow later.
