Gothenburg 2012-05-12, report and TWD

13 players, with me (Sten Düring) as late arrival.

While only one table timed out during the tournament, games were still on the long side. It's obvious that the local meta-game has turned towards slower games. If it's a result of more combat decks making it too risky to depend on super large vampires is unclear.

Cutoff to the finals were at 1 GW 3 VP with TP determining which one out of three decks made it there. Adam's Imbued were first seed with 2 GW 8.5 VP.

Seating: Adam Esbjörnsson, Ida Olsson Bjärmark, Erik Cardell, Erik Torstensson, Stefan Karlsson.

Eventually Ida turned out victorious with her bleed orientated Kyi/Las -deck. 3 VP, with Erik T and Stefan grabbing one each.

The other decks in the final were Erik C playing tremeres with fortitude and burst of sunlight, Erik T playing tremere powerbleed and Stefan playing tremere-gargoyle bleed-and-bounce.

Here's my deck. As standard as it gets when it comes to imbued. It might be a nice idea to change heart of nizchetus for ossian or another wendell (depending on how afraid you are of entrancement).

Another question in my mind, Adam.

What exactly can your humans do versus animalism combat? You now, aid from bats and carrion crows...

There are a lot of decks like Aksinya´s deck running in tournaments in this time.

Imbued are obviously very bad against all non-aggravated combat. If you're facing that it's just to try and rely on Jennie's special, T:V and Zip Guns. It's important to note that Taste of Vitae can't be used against allies and a lot of combat decks rely on it. Using DI on a Taste of Vitae can be very powerful to gain a blood advantage on your opponent. Most of the time it's game over, though. Start whining and maybe you'll be given some respite.
