V:EKN Chairman & Vice Chairman election

The date chosen for the election of the V:EKN Chairman and Vice Chairman has been the 11th of November, 2016 in Genoa (Italy), during the National Coordinator meeting (Friday evening before the final round) at the European Championship.

The Chairman/Vice Chairman pairing are elected on a joint ticket.

Nominations must be sent to the secretary of the meeting (Hugh Angseesing) two weeks prior to the national coordinator meeting at which the election will take place. Nominations can be sent via e-mail or via V:EKN website.

Any candidates willing to run for Chairman and Vice Chairman must also meet these requirements:

Eligibility to stand Chairman/Vice Chairman

Chairman
To be nominated to the position of Chairman the nominee must be:
- A member of the V:EKN
- A prince/NCs/ICs (or combination of) for a year prior to the nomination or can otherwise show ability to organise and support a diverse group of person through a community activity.
- Supported by two princes/NCs/ICs during the nomination process.

Voting procedure for Chairman/Vice Chairman

- The vote will be conducted by the secretary of the meeting and the nominated members can attend or send a designate on their behalf.
- Each NC present at the meeting has one non-transferable vote.
- NCs not at the meeting may send their voting/other notes to the secretary a minimum of one week before the meeting.
- Votes will be conducted by show of hands plus any votes the secretary/designate have received prior to the meeting.
- The candidate pairing with the most votes will be elected Chairman and Vice Chairman respectively.
- There will be a 30 day handover period from the incumbent Chairman and Vice Chairman to the new Chairman and Vice Chairman.
